Our Rifle events are open to the public.  Pre-registration is not mandatory but suggested as relay size is sometimes limited.

2017 Rifle Schedule
Sporter Rifle League Sept 11 2017 -Feb 26 2017  



July 1st  till July 29th - 5wks.

Mondays at 6:30 on the rifle range

Cost: $20 For the season,

Sign-up quickly as there is only 1 relay of 15 shooters. If there are any open positions, walk-on shooters may sign-up for $5.00 for that evening


  • No Steel core ammo.
  • Required equipment – Manually operated or Semi-auto centerfire rifle. All safety’s must function properly. Ammunition, Magazines if needed (clips for the M1 Garand guys), Eye protection, Ear protection and Empty Chamber Indicator.
  • Optional equipment – Shooting Mat, Sling, Shooting jacket, Glove for support hand, Knee roll, Baseball hat, Brass catcher/deflector, pen/clipboard.
  • Slings are permitted for prone, sitting / kneeling only. No sling for the standing position.
  • Any sighting system welcome.
  • No Bipods or rests of any kind.
  • The firing procedure is attached in email. (100 yards, 30 rounds)
  • Once the line is safe, shooters will walk down range after each string of fire to score and paste up their own targets, scorecards and pastors provided.

We will shoot 3 positions-


In each position, we will fire:

  • 5 shots, slow fire, in 5 minutes.
  • 5 shots, rapid fire

30 seconds for manual operated. 

25 seconds for semi-autos.

 A total of 30 rounds are needed for score.



Eye and ear protection mandatory.

Bring staple gun or push pins and pencil.

Bring ground mat. Empty chamber indicator.


May 7th to June 25th     8wks.    


Mondays First Relay @6:15pm 2nd @ 7:00PM at the rifle range.

Cost: $30 adults - $10 juniors. make-ups available

.22cal rimfire, any action, any sights.

Standing position, juniors supported.

Each bank of 5 targets. has 21/2 min time limit.

1/5 size steel targets at:

40yds.- chicken, 10 shots

60yds.- pig, 10 shots

77yds.- turkey, 10 shots

100yds.- ram, 10 shots

We will shoot on rotation with 40 total scoring shots.

Some tips:        

Sight-in your rifle prior to shooting to

compensate for bullet drop out to 100yds.

Eye and ear protection is mandatory.

Small clipboard and pencil.
