Indoor 3-Position .22 Rimfire Rifle Shoot
Time: Relay one (one group of shooters) starts at 6:30 p.m.; relay two (a separate group of
shooters) starts at about 7:15 p.m.
Dates: Every other Monday starting Monday, February 13, 2023 and continuing until
April 24, 2023 (February 13th and 27th, March 13th and 27th, April 10th and 24th.)
On February 6, 2023 from 6:30 p.m. until about 7:15 p.m. the indoor range will be open so participants in “Three Position Rimfire” will have an opportunity to check their equipment, adjust slings, try out the different shooting positions, sight-in their rifles, etc.
Cost: $20.00 (fees payable at our first shoot – February 13th)
If there are any open positions, walk-on shooters may sign-up for $3.00/an evening. The second relay is much more likely to have open positions.
NRA/Winchester Marksmanship Program rules: Any safe .22 caliber rimfire rifle may be used. The rifle must weigh 8.5 pounds or less, including sights and sling. Schuetzen type butt plates and palm rests may not be used. A sling may be used in the prone and sitting or kneeling positions, but not in the standing position.
All N.R.A. safety rules will be strictly enforced.
Course of Fire (all fired at 50 feet on the N.R.A. A-32 light rifle target; ten minutes at each position).
1. Ten rounds prone
2. Ten rounds either sitting or kneeling
3. Ten rounds standing
Shooters will score their own targets (scorecards will be provided) and will walk down range after each string of fire to score and replace targets.
