Most Club Events at OSC are open to the public and held throughout the year. A series of special events for OSC women (full members and family of members) with some shooting experience and knowledge of firearm safety to try out different disciplines and enjoy shooting with other women.
A rifle discipline that is shot indoors from prone, sitting/kneeling, and standing positions at 50 feet. One relay is 30 rounds. Events held on Monday nights in February – April.
A rifle discipline that is shot off-hand using a .22LR to knock over steel targets at distances of 40, 60, 77, and 100 yards. One relay is 40 rounds. Events held on Monday nights in May – June.
Matches consist of five stages, shooting from different barricades and positions. The course of fire will require a minimum of 50 rounds. Targets range from 1/4" - 6" in size and from 25-100 yards. Events held the third Saturday of each month.
Friday Night Clays
A shotgun event that is based on the discipline of trap with each shooter taking turns to shoot from five positions. Each relay is 25 rounds. Events held on Friday evenings in April – October.
Indoor Defensive Pistol
A pistol event held indoors on Thursdays in November – April.
Outdoor Defensive Pistol
A pistol event held outdoors on Thursdays in May – October.
Indoor Archery Practice
Open to the public. Beginners welcome, all ages, bow types, and styles. Free instruction for beginners from Experienced USAA/NFAA Level 3-NTS Archery Coaches! Club bows and equipment to borrow if you don’t have your own! (Currently not running. Check the home page regularly for an announcement when it will resume.)
