Events
Most OSC events are open to the public and held throughout the year. The listing below provides links to individual pages with additional details for each event, including recommended equipment, courses of fire, rules, and more. Check the calendar for upcoming dates and information on time, location, and whether advance registration is required.
Rifle Events
Smallbore 3-Position
A rifle discipline that is shot indoors from prone, sitting/kneeling, and standing positions at 50 feet. One relay is 30 rounds. Events held on Monday nights in February – April.
Smallbore Metallic Silhouette
A rifle discipline that is shot off-hand using a .22LR to knock over steel targets at distances of 40, 60, 77, and 100 yards. One relay is 40 rounds. Events held on Monday nights in May – June.
NY Sporter Rifle League
A rifle discipline that is shot indoors from an unsupported, off-hand position at 50 feet. One relay is 30 rounds. Events held on Monday nights in September – January.
NRL22
Matches consist of five stages, shooting from different barricades and positions. The course of fire will require a minimum of 50 rounds. Targets range from 1/4" - 6" in size and from 25-100 yards. Events held the third Sunday of each month.
Shotgun Events
Friday Night Clays
A shotgun event that is based on the discipline of trap with each shooter taking turns to shoot from five positions. Each relay is 25 rounds. Events held on Friday evenings in April – October.
Pistol Events
Summer Pistol Practice / Beginner Defensive Pistol Stages
A pistol event held outdoors on Thursdays in June – August.
Indoor Galactic Pistol Alliance
A pistol event held indoors on Saturdays in November – April.
Outdoor Defensive Pistol
A pistol event held outdoors on Saturdays in May – October.
Bullseye
A pistol event held on Thursday evenings to practice shooting National Match Courses.
